Jalles Machado won recognition for its above-mentioned standards and quality products, receiving several certificates and seals. Among the Brazilian sugar  plants, it is the only one to have a certified ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, an ISO 9001 Quality Management System, an FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System, an Organic Production Management System certified by IBD Certifications in Brazil to USDA-NOP standards in the US and Canada, EU Regulations in Europe, JAS in Japan, Kosher Certified to the Jewish Community, and EcoSocial.

Jalles also has a Certificate of Carbon Credits through the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) by the Kyoto Protocol since 2001, which makes a contribution to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (CO2 emissions).

Besides all the certifications, the company also has the Abrinq Seal, a child-friendly company, and annually makes the publication of its Social Balance Sheet as well as several awards won for national and international recognition. It performs reforestation projects in the riparian forest in order to maintain the balanced ecosystem on the banks of rivers and streams which surround the company facilities.

lavouraItajá Organic Sugar is grown in the savanna region of the State of Goiás in Brazil. The purity of the sugar cane is noticeably present in each package of Itajá Organic Sugar. Itajá Organic Sugar is carefully manufactured using special processes which maintain a biological balance from harvest to packaging.  
It is produced according to USDA standards for organic production and certified as organic by IBD Certifications, a certification body accreditedby the IFOAM - International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements.
