CROP ROTATION

In agricultural areas, we use the crop rotation technique, which consists of alternating the growing of grasses plant species and legumes in the same area to restore the soil nutrients. Crotalaria, a legume incorporated to the soil, is planted the cane areas eliminating the use of chemical fertilizers and providing environmental gain. Green manure is used mainly in organic areas and, besides improving the characteristics of the soil, it also contributes to the natural pest control. Besides that, crop rotation is also done with the growing of organic soy beans in the organic cane production areas.
